On Tuesday, March 11th, 2014, the Prague Thrift Store will be hosting their 3rd Annual Anniversary Charity Gala at the trendy Solidni Jistota club and restaurant (Pštrossova 200/21, 110 00 Prague, www.solidnijistota.cz), and YOU are invited!
Each year this event attracts hundreds of people and raises money in support of the Azylovy Dum mother's shelter in conjunction with the International Women's Association of Prague (IWAP).
Enjoy food, fun and fashion from the Prague Thrift Store, where your entry ticket gets you into a magical world of Brazilian Dancers from Tradicion, beautiful fashion models, Kung Fu performers from Asociace Hong jia quan Česká Republika, and a unique performance by Adrienn Banhegyi, World Champion rope skipping performer and Cirque du Soleil star.

For IWAP members the day begins at 10am with the first show during the IWAP General Meeting - entry is free for members - and 100 CZK for fans of IWAP and breakfast with coffee or tea is included.
The exciting evening show opens up at 6pm and a charitable 290 CZK cover price includes a welcome drink and appetizers to enjoy while you get settled in for the entertainment. And just check out below for the exciting program for the evening, this really is our biggest and best show yet!

- Adrienn Banhegyi - The world's best Jump Roper from Cirque du Soleil

Guests can browse our great selection of preloved fashions, or take home delicious Belgian chocolates and other offerings - there is something for everyone, including a raffle with many great prizes donated by our generous sponsors, including a 5,000 CZK Grand Prize Credit Certificate from the Prague Thrift Store itself!
Barbara Szende, the founder and event organizer, shares "The response from the local business community has been excellent and they have donated loads of very generous prizes and goods for the silent auction, it's very exciting."
An abundance of prizes include;
Toy sets from Lego, L'Oreal Professional shampoos from Amplion.cz, a Belgian Chocolate basket by Melinda Varga, a Designer Cake from Smarty Party, a Four Seasons Hotel Breakfast Buffet for 2, Pind Restaurants Lunch Buffet for 2, Jorge Ramos languages classes in any language and Lime & Tonic Gift Certificates, plus much, much more. Raffle tickets will be priced at 20 CZK each. There will also be a silent auction feature collectables and useful goods from the Prague Thrift Store.
This is the third fashion show the store has organised for charity. Last year's event raised 30,000 CZK to build a new playground for the mother's shelter, and there were enough funds to also build an additional waiting room for the mothers to socialise while their children played. This year's proceeds from the morning show will go to refurbish one of the communal kitchens at the Kladno Shelter, while proceeds from the evening show will be shared with NADĚJE's Services for the Homeless.
